Patterns from Transient Signals in Dynamic Series Compensated Lines for Neural Protection

چکیده
This paper presents a procedure to obtain patterns from propagating signals in a SSSC FACTS device. The acquired patterns are suitable for neural network relay protection schemes for Fault Detection (FD), Phase Classification (PC) and Fault Zone Estimation (FZE). By considering two fault scenarios, the patterns are obtained through digital simulations which include effects of transducers and noise filters.

Fault Location on Compensated Transmission Lines without Current Measurement
This paper presents a novel fault location method for series compensated transmission lines. It is established based on synchronized voltages sampling and Thevenin impedance from both ends of series compensated transmission line. The method is based on the use of phasor measurement units (PMU) technology which is aimed to be independent of current measurements, fault type, fault resistance, fau...

Current inversion condition leads to incorrect operation of current based directional relay in power system with series compensated device. Application of the intelligent system for fault direction classification has been suggested in this paper. A new current directional protection scheme based on intelligent classifier is proposed for the series compensated line. The proposed classifier uses ...

This paper proposes an approach for the protection of transmission lines with FACTS based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) using Wavelet Transform (WT). The required features for the proposed algorithm are extracted from the measured transient current and voltage waveforms using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). Those features are employed for fault detection and faulted phase selection usin...

Introduction In order to improve the quality of life of amputees, biomechatronic researchers and biomedical engineers have been trying to use a combination of various techniques to provide suitable rehabilitation systems. Diverse biomedical signals, acquired from a specialized organ or cell system, e.g., the nervous system, are the driving force for the whole system. Electromyography(EMG), as a...
متن کاملAn Accurate Offline Phasor Estimation Technique For Fault Location In Series Compensated Lines
With the increasing demand of electric power supply, the necessity to transmit more power has become the need of the hour. The excess power can be transferred by building new infrastructure (costly and time taking) or by using series compensation (relatively cheaper and faster alternative). Series compensation is a technique in which line inductance is compensated by placing a capacitor in seri...
